Baby’s Busy Schedule

As a new mom of a beautiful baby boy, going through the introduction to motherhood I was never given adequate advice. I was told that it will be hard and I will be tired.” No one mentioned being a single mom I wouldn’t sleep literally for the first month of my son’s life. I was also never told that sometimes no matter how hard you try to keep baby happy, babies get their biggest entertainment from wailing at three in the morning. All the same I love my son with every fiber in my body and wouldn’t give up being a mom for the world.
I was able to manage my son’s needs and minimize his crying by keeping a schedule that he still maintains to this day at 8 months. I feed him every four hours, change him before he eats, put him to bed after he eats and entertain him in between. This ensured his sense of stability and helped help him with his development. He is more advanced then most babies his age.
Even with all of the love my baby and I share, we still need a break from each other. When my baby was about 4 months old, I found a product from Johnson and Johnson called Johnson’s Bedtime Touch. This is an absolutely amazing product that helps parents and babies bond with the reassurance that baby will be resting soundly by the end of the massage. And when babies are resting soundly, mommies are too.
