Product Review: Glaxal Base Cream

One morning I was changing my daughter, who wasn’t even four months old yet and I was horrified to find a rash across her entire chest and stomach. Big, red lumps were rampant everywhere. I decided to apply some baby lotion and see what happened. It was only two hours later when I noticed that I had actually done more harm than good with the lotion. The rash was continuing to spread to the sides of her abdomen and down her legs. Not wanting to leave it until her entire body was covered; I called my doctor immediately and booked an appointment.
After arriving at his office, the doctor examiner her briefly and diagnosed the rash as a case of eczema. He told me there were plenty of prescription lotions and potions he could prescribe for her but my best bet might just be Glaxal Base Cream. This product is fragrance-free, lanolin-free, and hypoallergenic. I’m usually one to think that something that advertises itself as this mild must be completely ineffective. But wanting to rid my daughter of her rash, I purchased the cream and started applying it onto my daughter’s rash immediately. Within an hour, there was a remarkable difference!
Not branded as a “baby product,” I probably would never have thought about using this stuff on my daughter’s skin. But I have tried other baby creams and lotions and she actually has a mild allergic reaction to most of them. It seems that stuff that makes babies smell so good actually irritates my daughter’s sensitive skin. I will never use anything but Glaxal Base Cream on my daughter again. It’s not only better for her skin but it leaves it so smooth and soft that sometimes, when I want to give my hands a little treat, I rub them with a little bit of this rich cream!
The only bad thing about this cream is the price. It costs about ten dollars for a small 100 gram tub of it. Although it is quite costly, it is very well worth it and although it’s not marketed for babies specifically, it’s actually much milder than the actual baby creams!

Thanks Naomi. At least parents can be able to determine the reliability of the product from someone who really used it. Thanks for sharing!

I had a similar experience except my daughter was 4 years old. My doctor prescribed the cream and it did wonders.
