Pampers Cruisers

Ever since my oldest daughter was born, I’ve used mainly Pampers Diapers on her. I guess it all stemmed from the very beginning when they used Newborn Pampers on her little bottom while we were still both in the hospital. Although from time to time, I would use another brand, including no-name brands for her, I have mainly stuck with Pampers. I admit that I can fall privy to different marketing schemes from time to time and the Gifts to Grow program that Pampers has makes me feel as though I’m getting something in return for my money.

That’s why when my daughter started to crawl I began to dress her in Pampers Cruisers. These diapers claimed that they would move more easily with my daughter as she twisted and turned her way across our living room floor. I didn’t seem to be having a problem with the current Pampers Diapers that we used but decided that it couldn’t hurt to try this product. After purchasing them, I did notice that it stated on the package that gel-like crystals could form in the diaper area and that this is purely due to the gel that is used for extra absorbency.

Although I never noticed crystals of any sort, these diapers did give my daughter a horrible rash that just wouldn’t go away until I switched her back to her regular diapers. No amount of zinc cream or baby powder could seem to make that rash go away. I quickly switched her back to the regular Pampers and the rash started to disappear immediately. I think Pampers is a wonderful product. They offer their customers incentives with reward programs and they make a very good product. But there is something about the Cruisers that is irritating and for that reason, I will stick to the original Pampers product.

    We had the exact same thing happen!!!!
    It went away over night as soon as I switched off the Crusiers.

    Something about the new lining I heard. I’m glad I’m not the only one.
    I will send a letter to Pampers. Maybe if they get enough comments, they will re-evaluate the brand.

    My son wore pampers swaddlers as a newborn, and I he wore cruisers around 4 months. After fighting a diaper rash for 2 1/2 months, using desitin, hydrocortisone, other creams, I realized it was the cruisers that were causing the problem. I bought pampers baby dry because they were on sale, and immediately the rash cleared up. When I tried a cruiser again….the rash came back. I called pampers and they said that they had not heard anything about babies getting a rash from the cruisers, but I hope they take this seriously.
