Baby Product Review: ExerSaucer by Evenflo

Evenflo has created a learning center, toy, exercise machine, and game station all in one! The ExerSaucers have a base shaped like a saucer with supports that rise from the base to hold a soft cushion-seat that straps into position. The baby sits in the seat but can stand with wobbly legs on the saucer if he or she chooses. At any age, your baby can spin the cushioned seat completely around in its base. As your baby’s legs become sturdier and longer, the ExerSaucer has height adjustments that will raise to accommodate your baby until he or she is 30 inches tall (it is not recommended for babies who can walk on their own). Optional legs can fold down to support the saucer so it doesn’t rock when the baby stands or spins around. Babies as young as 4 months will enjoy the freedom of sitting up and standing without help in the ExerSaucer.
Toys and entertainment can be set on the tray, though it isn’t necessary because the ExerSaucers come in different themes with toys already attached! At least five variations are available, including the pink 1-2-3 Tea For Me and the green Farmyard Fashion. Two models also include toys that drape over the baby’s head.
The ExerSaucer is easy to clean—wipe down the plastic parts and put the cushion in your washing machine on a gentle cycle!
Space may be a problem because the fully expanded Exersaucer is a couple feet in diameter, but it is worth every inch it takes up! I’ve watched at half a dozen babies from 4 to 13 months love playing in the “Spinny Toy,” as we often call it. Every feature is a plus! And, if you’re traveling or trying to clean, the Exersaucer does collapse into a nearly flat, storable size.
