No Pets Raise Healthier Toddlers

If you want to help your child grow up to be healthy and strong, heed this warning; keep them away from pets!
A tall order for some, who would know of a kid who has grown without a pet? It has been a traditional image for a child to own a dog or a cat at some point in their lives but while they may seem lovable and great companions, they may also be the cause of your health problems in the end.
Pets carry germs to which when contracted, can become perilous to the average child. Babies in particular should not be allowed to come near them since their immunization system is still in the developing stages and can easily be breached. Aside from inflamed internal body parts, you may find your child snoring at an early state.
While you are looking for various reasons, pointing to fatigue, lack of sleep or obesity, perhaps the answer lies in the creatures that are lurking behind them.
“These factors may enhance inflammatory processes and thereby alter upper airway anatomy early in life, causing an increased susceptibility for adult snoring,” the study conjectured.
The harsh, occasionally nerve-wracking sounds associated with snoring are caused the vibrating of the soft palate.

So lock them in a bubble and let them grow up being allergic to everything? If your pets are healthy and not carrying a parasite load, I wouldn’t worry too much. Humankind has managed to survive in fine form throughout it’s long history and in some pretty nasty conditions. Man has gained immunities to diseases because of their close contact with animals…not in spite of them. We’re loaded with bacteria..inside and out. Those tiny bacterial cells outnumber the number of human cells found in our body, and I don’t think they’re going away anytime soon. Many are actually vitally important and necessary to staying healthy, like those found in our digestive tract. Seems our kids are worse off now because in our quest to stay healthy, we’ve tried to sterilize everything and overused the gift of antibiotics.
So how much dirt were we supposed to eat before we die?

This is absurd ! What about all us ranchers and farmers who were raised around all sorts of animals and raised our kids the same ? As a maulti-generation rancher I have 4 healthy adult children that were raised from infancy around animals as was I and many generations before me.
