Breastfeeding Looms as a Solution Against Melamine Scandal

While China has admitted its fault and has even gone as far as offering a helping hand to countries affected by its irresponsible quality control management on exported goods, no one can really tell these days which baby formula is really safe for babies. You can just get a glimpse of the thousands of babies that are suffering right now in China. It is really a sight you don’t want to see happening to your baby.

The word out today is that we may even see most milk products, not necessarily from China, be pulled out for local testing for possible strains of melamine. The milk scare has gone as far as reaching major dairy products that we all consume and with that in mind, the prospect of encountering a milk shortage looms upon us.

For adults, there are alternatives such as turning to local milk products that do not outsource some ingredients for their products. But for babies, it all points to the natural way of feeding that we all know as breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding is encouraged especially for newborn babies. It is the healthy way to keep your child healthy and ensure their overall health. I just found it funny that in China, most parents rely on baby infant formulas from the day that they were born. Breastfeeding is said to be avoided in China or perhaps done in minimal states.

It was even joked around that this melamine contamination was done on purpose to promote breastfeeding. Some are calling it serious. If so, this is really not a funny claim. Babies are to sensitive to be made as guinea pigs and if that were the case, you can just imagine the number of parents who would get enraged at China right now, both foreign and local folks.
