Peanut Butter Recalls Could Have Been Prevented

Peanut Butter is the latest food to be recalled amidst cases of Salmonella poisoning. There have been a few confirmed deaths, and the recall list has officially hit over 500 products. You can search for contaminated and questionable products here at the FDA’s list or here containing a list of products.

Consumers should earge for more food oversight, and a suitable punishment to the company who released the products even already knowing they posed a public health risk.  The Company, PCA, is the same linked to the outbreaks in 2007 and knowingly released the contaminated peanut butter for shipment.

What happened to oversight?  Doesn’t the consumer matter anymore, or is it purely profit?
