So That’s What They’re For: Breastfeeding Basics
I was browsing Barnes & Noble looking for a good read. There happened to be a copy of “So That’s What They’re For: Breastfeeding Basics“ out on the endcap near where I was walking.
Just seeing this book brought me a huge smile. I’ve had this book for a while, and I love it. Written by Janet Tamaro, the book manages to gracefully walk the fine like of being full of information, and still really funny and conversational.
Tamaro has a brilliant conversational style readers can just fall in love with instantly.
“People need to understand that when they’re deciding between breast milk and formula, they’re not deciding between Coke and Pepsi…. They’re choosing between a live, pure substance and a dead substance made with the cheapest oils available.”—Janet Tamaro
So That’s What They’re For manages to make a reader feel very at ease, and there’s a few points where you can almost feel as if Tamaro is almost a commiserating friend, letting you know she’s been there and she’ll help you get through it too.
If you know someone who will be having a baby soon, and they are considering breast feeding, get them this book!
