Octuplet’s Mother- Nadja Suleman: The Lasting Effects?

We all want to feel needed and loved- It’s a basic human trait. When people have childhoods that for whatever reason didn’t live up to what they think it should have been, some psychological turmoil can breed in their minds. The mother of 14, now revealed to be Nadja Suleman, had (according to herself, amongst mixed reports out of her own mouth) one such childhood. She didn’t feel enough love, and had a ‘rough childhood’ being an only child.
Was it the lack of playmates, or attention that drove her to have 14? According to her, yes.
According to her own mother, who has been having her own say quite a bit in the media as of late Nadja ‘doesn’t know what she’s doing’ and is planning on leaving her daughter and the 14 children to move out of the family’s small home. A move in and of itself that however questionable, one cannot truly blame her for feeling.
She’s already making mention here and there of having more children, deciding on indecision, or the now famous, ‘let God decide approach’.
But, when Nadja is on Food Stamps and residing in the already broken economy of California should she really so blase over the decision, or is that still her right?
Looking at the video of the babies (it’s the first one on this page) and seeing their loose skin hanging off their small bodies, the tubes that allow them to eat, and the overall small frame of these babies many will find themselves heartbroken. Already this woman is talking of more?
The doctors themselves are feeling the heat- Stating that Nadja Suleman made them ‘look like fools‘. The case itself has perhaps had an intense and very damaging effects on fertility treatments. Causing couple’s who potentially wanted children, and intended to be responsible to be denied.
Nadja Suleman’s brazen decisions isn’t all about her or her children anymore, her decisions will have a much larger reach. Effecting many more people that simply her and her 14 children.
