What Does your Baby Cry Mean?
Babies cry out of their natural instincts for survival, in ingrained deep into them. From such a small age they have some amazing abilities and instincts. Granted, one of the most famous happens to be the cry.
- I’m Hungry. Obviously, feed the baby (This one doesn’t need too much going into does it?).
- I’m Tired. Try and put the baby to Sleep, or rock them.
- I am experiencing Discomfort. Could be just wanting a cuddle, or the bed’s uncomfortable.
- I have Lower Gas. Rub baby’s tummy, in a downward motion, and bring their legs up gently towards their chest.
- I need to Burp. Pick up baby and rub/pat back gently to bring out a burp.
- I’m just wanting to cry. A newborn cries at times for absolutely no reason, many do this at least once a day. It can last easily an hour or more. Just rock baby, and don’t worry.
Soothing baby isn’t always the easiest thing, and sometimes it can seem outright impossible. At times, they do cry for absolutely no reason (I wish I knew that before my daughter was born!). If you’ve check everything, and your baby is still crying- it could just be ‘fussy time’ this ‘once a day cry’ can last until their a few weeks up to a couple months old.
