Army Mom and Kids Reporting For Duty

soldier2An Army mom, Lisa Pagan is officially reporting to duty with kids in tow, after a fight with the army to let her stay home with her children, instead she brought them with her.  Her husband is on the road according to the couple on business more than he’s home, and the family cannot afford to let him quit his job.

Lisa Pagan has tried to do what she can to not have to report to Fort Benning with her two kids, Elizabeth and Travis  who are 4 and 3 respectively.  Although, you can fight against a callback with the military, absence is only fully granted in very slim circumstances.

A reservist in the military has a couple years after their official contract is up that they can still be called in.

Should the Army make an exception  for families in this position?
