Top 3 Budget and Mom Friendly Must Haves for Baby

Baby stuff shopping (PixUp)

Now, I think we have all seen those ‘budget must have’ lists around.  Chock full of high-end, super expensive stuff you might use all of one time (no, tripping over it in the middle of the night doesn’t count as a use).  I’ve found through the miracle of having my own child, most of the stuff “I couldn’t live without” meant I would barely so much as acknowledge it’s presence until I stumbled over it.

I was talked into these by my mom.  Granted, I didn’t cloth diaper my daughter.  These were a lifesaver though.

They cover a heck of a lot more than the burp cloths that were ‘so cute, and I had to have’ and they were a whole lot less expensive.  Sure they might not have all those super cute patterns on them, but those same super cute patterns were anything but after my daughter spit up all over them.

I got this before kiddo was even born, I still wouldn’t give this thing up if you paid me to.  I had the expensive ‘pregnancy pillow’, the one that’s supposed to help you sleep.

Yeah, that didn’t work at all.  It became an expensive leg rest and now all it is now is expensive padding between my bed and the wall.  In a fir of frustration I tried this, and it’s amazing.

Since kiddo’s been born, this wonderful little pillow thing has saved my back during nursing and it’s a fantastic reading pillow for momma still.

My only extra advice for the Boppy is get at least three covers.  They are inexpensive and they have some really cute ones.  (My personal favorite is my double sided purple one.) That way you will always have one free.

I had to race to the store in a fit of panic. When my milk came in I had so many (or so I thought) feeding problems. At the hospital I was set, I nursed like a pro.  Everything was set, when I got home and my milk came in- nothing.  It wasn’t happening as much as I tried and tried.

After a discussion with my daughter pediatrician, these were recommended.  So being a barely postpartum train wreck I rushed the 20 minutes to the store for these. I don’t have to use them anymore, they actually fully corrected the problem I was having. I used them almost immediately and was finally successfully nursing my daughter (well, after my laughing fit was over they do honestly look ridiculous on).
