Woman Gives Birth to Twins, From Seperate Wombs

Sarah Reinfelder a 21 year old woman has recently given birth to twins, which alone is nothing that out of the ordinary right?  Well adding into the one-in-one-million chances the babies were born from separate wombs.  The woman has a double uterus (uteri?), and the chances of her carrying the babies to term was statically low but her and her babies are reportedly doing fairly well.

Sarah has a condition known as ‘Mullerian abnormality’ sadly discovered after the loss of her first pregnancy (also twins).

The babies, twin girls named Kaylin Joy and Valerie Marie  were born premature and may have to remain in the hospital for about a month.  Then they will be joining (at this moment) their 10 month old big brother.

The babies are already not needing any intubation and are being breastfed by their mom.

According to ABC:

The twins’ prognosis looks good, according to their doctors. They are no longer intubated to assist their breathing. Both are taking their mother’s breast milk and should be out of the hospital in a few weeks.

The photo above and the quotes from Reinfelder are all from ABC Health.
