MP3 For Baby: Fetus Tech

PD*28208279
This is an interesting (for lack of a better word) product idea.  One that’s ingenious to the point of making many wonder “why I didn’t think of that“.

We’ve all heard that music can make wee one’s smarter, and there are a few MP3 players out there to help you to expose junior to fine music, but this one takes the cake.

Called BLABY this device has speakers and usb cables stitched into the fabric.  It allows you to import music from your computer into it, creating vibrations to let baby hear the tunes.

Named the BLABY, the device consists of a contoured belt that wraps around a mother’s waist with three inbuilt vibration speakers playing music into the womb.

Stitched into the fabric of the belt is a digital MP3 player and USB adapter which will allow prospective parents to upload music or even to record their own voices to play for their baby.

The device operates off the Mozart theory, although it goes on to say:

“Of course, classical music is what the experts have suggested be used, but there is nothing to stop you playing your favourite Beatles track or even Led Zeppelin.”

Which, admittedly made me spit out a bit of coffee.

The device is still in the prototype phase, so the BLABY isn’t priced quite yet.

Now thats pretty nifty! Haha but there’s nothin wrong with a pair of headphones plugged into your actual mp3 player

I agree, I do love the thought behind this thing.

But, you are right on the mark with that, just plug in a pair and you’d be set with the normal mp3 players.

If I remember correctly, so far the BLABY doesn’t have anything for mom to rock out to with baby. Which is a bit of a bummer.
