Toddler Found Alive After Being Missing For Two Days
Three year old Joshua Childers went missing in the Mark Twain Forest in Madison County, Missouri and was missing for two days in any parents nightmare scenario. He disappeared while his dad was on the phone and his mom was sleeping.
One quote from the Sun article nicely sums up the entire story:
Adam Childers said he is amazed his son survived for so long without food or water.
“I don’t know how he did it. I don’t know grown men that could do it. But all I can say is he’s a tough little bugger,” he said.
Madison County Sheriff David Lewis said their hopes of finding Joshua alive had been starting to fade.
“It’s a miracle,” he said. “I’m so happy, you can’t believe it.”
The area the toddler went missing in is loaded with bears, snakes, and a few other nasties of the wild. It really is amazing he’s been found alive and well, the story also shows how amazing kids are. When Joshua was found a rescuer asked him if he wanted to go home and Joshua only replied with a simple “Yeah”.
He’s spent a bit of time in the hospital with a bit of dehydration and has been asking for hotdogs and milk since he was found.
