Evian’s Roller-skating Babies: Cute or Creepy?
Evian Water’s new advertisement features thrilling stunts, amazing skate tricks… and babies. In an advertisement that is either too cute for words or, alternatively creepy as could be, Evian features CGI babies performing 70’s era roller skate moves.
Looking at the comments on the videos, people have taken up camp in both directions, some (quite like this writer) thinks it’s adorable. Some, however think it’s a bit creepy. Be it from the uncanny valley effect, or simply babies doing ‘adult things’, I can’t be sure.
Personally I love this advertisement, will it make me buy their water? I doubt it, but it’s without a doubt memorable and original. Now, granted I also did love the etrade baby ads something quite a few people would heartily disagree with me over.
