Every couple (and even single parents) needs a break occasionally.  It’s normal and a fabulous way to recharge the batteries. 

You don’t have to do anything expensive, something as simple as a walk around the block with your partner can pay off in gigantic amounts.  As a bonus, things like walking and exercise in general can help one stay a lot calmer overall.

While a gym membership may be doing little more right now than collecting dust, maybe you and your partner could brush it off, and get into the habit of going to the gym one night a week.  It could be a good motivator to go together, and shed weight and stress at the same time.

Science has said for a while now, that exercise is good for you, and it has so many more benefits that simply weight management.  From stress reduction, to a mood boosting : Just a quick run even can have a huge impact on anyone!
