Getting some good brag worthy photos of your child can be a frustrating experience. Even professional photographers can run into the same problems with their own kids. With all the moving around just keeping them still long enough to get a single not blurry photo can be a huge challenge.
Here are some quick tips to make shots of your child a bit better and easier.
- Don’t try and force a smile. Sometimes, try as we may our children just won’t smile for the camera. Which isn’t completely necessary, in fact sometimes the ‘serious’ shot of your child can be a fabulous photo regardless.
- Think natural. Natural shots are easier to get, with children just playing. Position yourself to get their faces and line up the photo getting their faces to be in the center of the image.
- The more, the merrier! If you are using a digital camera, just snap away. The simple rule of averages will tell you, eventually one will come out smashing.
- The camera isn’t as important. There is a popular though that you need an incredibly expensive camera. This simply isn’t so. With all the technology available, you can find a fabulous camera easily between $25- $100.
- Set the ‘scene’. Think of the room with the best lighting in your home and take photos there. Aim for as much natural light as possible, and try to limit the use of the flash on your camera.
