The Future- It’s Kid’s Stuff!
Sure, many of the thing envisioned today that may be our future, may never come to light.
All you have to do is take a look at some of the ‘futuristic’ movies from the 80’s to realize that most things may actually seem a bit ridiculous eventually.
Board Games (Without the Board)
One of the older toys that are (and will more than likely) popular are board games. Considering we can all remember playing some of the classics when we were kids, and many parents like incorporating things from their own childhood into their own children’s. While the chess set above is still just a concept, we already have a similar thing already with computer keyboards. So it’s not all that drastic to imagine this being made and sold.
The Mirage above is ultra-portable. Everything breaks down small enough to fit in any confined space, so while it’s a bit off from something completely kid-friendly, it’s not hard to imagine them applying the same concept to more kid-friendly fare.
Okay, this is a concept lighting (fixture?) but couldn’t you just see this being applied to toys? The concept idea allows someone to ‘draw with light’ in effect. At the very least, this idea makes the Lite Brite look like something straight out of the stone age.
The Coolest Time-Out ‘Room’ Ever
While it’s intended to be for office worker’s for some ‘down time’ the above is a smaller and portable ‘room’. One could seriously wish to have had the one that rocks when our kids were newborns (well, at least I do).
