Is Santa Claus Dangerous?

Santa Clause on skies in Adelboden, Switzerland

With the holiday season here and in full swing, this topic has seemed to pop up more and more.  It’s a concern that telling kids about Santa Clause is dangerous to their well-being.  Proponents to the idea are saying that kid’s may suffer damage if they find out about him not existing.

Other’s think that that is pure rubbish.

With so must attention brought to Santa, with even  NORAD tracking his travels around the world.  That there seems to be an almost inevitable opposition.  While most people grew up hearing about Santa, and his love of leaving gifts- should there be concern?

Many parents who don’t want to perpetuate the idea of Santa feel forced to, out of fear of being a scrooge.  What do you think?  Is it something that you just do, or should parents think twice?
