Getting Kids Interested In Art
Image via Wikipedia
Children can really benefit from the skills and teachings of art and while many may wonder how you can get your child interesting in creating.
Art in general can promote creative thinking and problem solving, it can also help with ‘normal skills’ such as math and many other things.
Get your child a children’s digital camera.
They are much more durable than the adult intended versions and can be found most places, and for cheap. While they may not have many of the bells and whistles of an adult’s camera- they are still pretty cool!
Butcher’s Paper, Paint, and a Nice Day.
While you can accomplish the same thing with simply some finger paints and normal paper having a huge roll of paper doesn’t hurt. So you don’t have to worry about spills and drips, doing this outside and in old clothing can save a huge headache.
DIY Books.
Encourage your child to tell their own story through art (and, if age appropriate writing). Have them have their own book, either a story book or even a comic book. This is a fun and fabulous way to get them really into reading, writing, and overall creative thinking.
