March is National Nutrition Month and a great time to start finding some new ways to get some extra vitamins and minerals that your children may be lacking. Doctors even say, almost one in five children may be deficient in necessary vitamins and nutrients, and parents aren’t much better off it seems.
There are ways for mom, dad, and kiddos to get the needed good stuff that they may be lacking. By making some yummy foods that are packed with good things, it can help a lot.
Switch from snack time sweets to fruits and veggies. Fruits and veggies dipped in a little bit of dressing, or another dip can help both in satisfying a sweet tooth and getting some great energy boosting (and natural) sources of vitamins.

Try switching from sodas to fruit sweetened water, by putting a splash of orange, lime, lemon, or another favorite fruit you can add in a lot more than just ‘sweetness’.
Try smoothies, when made a certain way they are much better for you than many other snacking options, and they can fill you up too! All recipes has a great (and simply delicious) amount of recipes, and here is the link!
