A New Breakthrough In the Fight Against Lice

The presently popular tool available for those who are battling head lice is a topical ointment that has been proven to be incredibly dangerous. It can harm children and in some cases has even killed some children. Unfortunately it was also the only option available, and the known ingredient that killed the lice was a powerful neurotoxin as well.
A new medication on the market however, gives another and far less dangerous option for parents and their children. The medication, available by prescription only, called Ulesfia (you can find their website here). It’s a new method, that treats without the same harmful chemicals that are found in the typical treatments. Recommended to use at the first sign of head lice, and is gentile enoguh to be used in children as young as 6 months old.
It uses benzyl alcohol to kill the lice without risking your child’s health. While it isn’t completely risk free, the risks associated with Ulesfia as far less dangerous than that of the typical head lice treatment options.
