Woman Called an Abuser For Cuddles
Shahnaz Malik came to the attention of social workers due to a few ‘issues’ that, according to her five-year-old daughter’s care staff, were signs that something wasn’t well at home. Malik’s daughter talked of her birth, and the cesarean section her mother had, saying a few ‘bad words’, and her mother cuddling with her when dropping her off for upwards of ten minutes.
The ‘charges’ aren’t exactly the things that crime is typically made of. The UK has seen it’s own share of world-wide outcry for some of it’s more seemingly questionable reaction, and lack of action. In the case of Shahnaz Malik, she has run to another country in fears of her daughter being taken away from her, and she’s planning on moving to Dubai with her when she can afford it.
According to John Hemming, (a Birmingham MP who campaigns against abuses by the family courts):
“This whole case is madness as there is no reason for the state to be involved in this little girl’s life in this way”
Her husband presently is in jail for protecting her and their daughter.
It seems that after the outcry from the lack of attention given to Baby P from the famous case, the social services have been getting seemingly harsher, down to their reasons (at times outright ridiculous) for taking children from heir parents.
