5 Fabulous (Easy) Birthday Cake Ideas
Many are looking for fun and interesting ideas for their children’s birthday cake. It can be a great time to be creative (and save a bunch of money by making and decorating it yourself). Sometimes we could all use some extra inspiration and ideas, below you will find some fun (and surprisingly easy) birthday cake ideas for your child’s next big bash.

To make: Cones, Cake Mix, Marshmallows, and Frosting

Simply make three smaller square cakes according to directions.

Frost as normal (putting a generous amount of frosting in between the layers).

Place the cones in the corners.

Place marshmallows around the edges.

You could use sectioned chocolate bars (Hershey’s would be perfect) as the windows and door.
Easy as could be as cute to boot!
Spongebob

Out of all the characters there are some that are insanely easy to make cake out of. While Spongebob isn’t alone in this designation, when it comes to easy characters he is one of the easiest. Simply by frosting a normal square cake in yellow, red, white, and brown (and using the smaller tubes found at any grocery store) you can easily make your own Spongebob cake.
The Giant Cupcake
You can find this mold online, and while there are quite a few choices, the giant cupcake is a very fun choice. While cupcakes are a more normal choice for a party, the giant version is an unexpected surprise that is very easy to make as well.
Pizza Cake

What you need: frosting, coconut, assorted candies (Swedish fish, fruit roll-ups, and anything else you may like would work great), a pizza box, and a round cake pan.

Make up some red frosting with food coloring and sprinkle coconut on top.

Place candies and place in pizza box.
Polka Dot Cake

This cake is so pretty and you can make a very similar copy of it by using white frosting and those candy dots on paper that most stores carry.
Making a fun and fabulously decorated cake is easy, and while many of them look time consuming and difficult, the cakes above are very easy to make yourself, and they all use items that anyone can easily find in their local supermarket.
