Producer of groundbreaking Mummies of the World exhibition makes generous donation to support the children of Greater of Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, April 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Mummies of the World Touring Company, LLC, producer of the groundbreaking Mummies of the World exhibition, made a charitable donation of $15,000 to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Penfield Children’s Center in a special presentation on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Milwaukee Public Museum.

Marc Corwin, president and CEO of Mummies of the World Touring Company, LLC, presented the checks to Cindy Christensen, Executive VP and COO of Children’s Hospital and Christine Holmes, president of Penfield Children’s Center. Joining in the celebration was Jay Williams, president and CEO of the Milwaukee Public Museum, with children onsite to share in the occasion.

“Mummies of the World Touring Company is committed to giving back to the communities in which it presents its exhibit,” said Corwin. “Our organization dedicates time and resources to youth-related philanthropic endeavors in every market in which our exhibitions tour. These donations will provide much needed funds to Children’s Hospital as well as Penfield Children’s Center to support the youth in Milwaukee and the surrounding community.”

Mummies of the World is the largest exhibition of mummies and related artifacts ever assembled, featuring an astounding collection of 150 objects including real human and animal mummies, and related artifacts from South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Ancient Egypt. The exhibition is currently in its final weeks at the Milwaukee Public Museum, closing May 30, after which it will travel to Philadelphia, opening at The Franklin Institute on June 18, 2011.
