Students of Detroit’s Gee White Elementary to Be Presented with Donated Backpacks and School Supplies at Wireless Vision’s “T-Mobile’s Got Your Back” Event on August 30

Launch Community Outreach Program for School-Aged Children in Need
DETROIT–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today, T-Mobile USA retail partner Wireless Vision and the Kids In Need
Foundation (KINF) unveiled “T-Mobile’s Got Your Back,” a “Back to
School” community outreach initiative providing backpacks to a select
elementary school of students.

dealer, Wireless Vision, help families get their children ready for a
successful school year. We look forward to seeing the smiling faces of
the students of White Elementary later this month.”
During the month of August, when a customer activates a new T-Mobile
line in any metro Detroit T-Mobile store owned and operated by Wireless
Vision, a backpack will be donated to a child in need. In addition to
Detroit, Wireless Vision’s “T-Mobile’s Got Your Back” program is also
taking place this month in St. Louis, Chicago, and Columbus, Ohio.
On Tuesday, August 30, from 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., in the gymnasium at
Gee White Academy/Elementary School (5161 Charles Street in Detroit),
the backpacks will be distributed to kindergarten through eighth grade
students at the parent-student orientation to kick-off the 2011-2012
school year. In addition to the efforts by Wireless Vision, T-Mobile is
donating school supplies to the students of White Elementary.
The Kids In Need Foundation, on behalf of its organization and Wireless
Vision, will donate any remaining backpacks to other Detroit area
schools.
