Lenovo Outfits New Orleans Youth Education Town with Technology Donation
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.–()–Local children who attend the New Orleans Youth Education Town (YET)
were all smiles as they received new computers from Lenovo
(HKSE:0992) (Pink Sheets:LNVGY) for their technology room. In
celebration of the upcoming Super Bowl XLVII, the NFL and Lenovo, the
official computer sponsor of the NFL, teamed up to surprise the local
YET with this technology upgrade.
“It was a privilege to see firsthand how the New Orleans YET initiative
is truly making a positive impact in the community. Lenovo is delighted
to provide the technology tools to help the YET program continue helping
local youth and guiding them to reach their full potential”
Lenovo’s computer donation replaced the outdated workstations in the YET
center’s computer lab, and provided new machines for the staff to
automate paper processes, track student activities and increase
productivity.

much-needed hardware upgrade for the kids of the New Orleans YET,” said
Darrell Guy, Sr., New Orleans YET director. This generous donation will
help our YET team to enhance our children’s experience during their time
spent here, as we continue to provide a safe place for children to learn
and grow.”
On their Lenovo All-In-One Desktop computers, the children who might not
have PCs at home or access to the internet will now be able to do
homework, research various topics for their school projects and broaden
their horizons.
