This was when I turned to the Baby Einstein videos. After hearing all the stories about how wonderful they are for babies, and how they stimulate baby’s brain, I thought I had hit the jackpot. I went out and immediately bought three videos. The first was Baby Bach, so that my child could be enriched by classical music. The second was Language Nursery so that she could learn many different languages in her first year. And the third was Baby Wordsworth, in the hopes that she could also learn another language – sign language.

I was thrilled when my daughter loved the videos. She seemed to especially like Baby Bach. I was convinced that I had a composer on my hands. In truth, she probably just liked the different shapes and the bright colours that float across the screen while accompanied by music. I especially liked Baby Wordsworth because it gave me some basic sign language to teach my child who wasn’t even close to her first word yet.

Now that she is a little bit older and I now have another child, I realize that I’m probably not developing little geniuses just by throwing on a video. But that also doesn’t mean that they’re not worth the money. Firstly, they don’t really cost all that much. They also come in age appropriate categories that are made clear on the cover. So you will know if it’s going to be over your baby’s head or not. And lastly, babies really seem to like them. I’m making no guarantee that after watching a video, you’re child will delight you with masterpieces of art or with beautiful songs. But they will enjoy watching them and baby’s enjoyment is really all we should be looking for. They will still have lots of time for education.

The journey towards making sure that baby Max would be born normally was not easy though. Aguilera and Bratman had scary moments especially when they had to agree to a Caesarean to avoid any complications as far as labor and giving birth is concerned.

One of the world’s most famous child, Suri Cruise, has been snapped with a pacifier in her month. Many folks are finding this so odd because the young child is apparently almost five years old and is, therefore, too old to still be doing this:

While we thought the stuffed bear she carried was a nice little touch and effectively complemented her peacoat, we were nevertheless distracted by a certain accessory lodged between her lips. After all, with Suri turning 5 next month, it seems a bit odd that she would still be using a pacifier.

“Once a baby is 4-6 months of age, they begin to have other strategies to calm and self regulate. That’s when I recommend removing the pacifier. After that it becomes a crutch.”

Some folks are calling this lazy parenting. Others are saying we leave parenting to Tom and Katie, Suri’s parents. But are we to quick to judge? Maybe it’s one of those pacifier candies?

Many children end up still using pacifiers till they are seven. But since Suri is no ordinary child, the reaction from people is expectedly extra ordinary as well.

Divorce and custody disputes are full of emotion and it really isn’t surprising that there are so many split couples that just cannot get along While nobody would argue that they should try, it is a rough circumstance for all involved. While  celebs aren’t any stranger to divorce, when that divorce involves children in addition to the public, there are times when you just with one partner (or at times both) would just stop talking.

Kate and Jon Gosselin’s marriage fell apart dramatically in front of the world, and before the ink was even on the divorce decree Jon was repeatedly snapped traveling around the world with women. It’s understandable for her to be hurt, but with the latest feud between the couples, one wants to just tell her (and him)  to just let it go already.

While interviewing on Regis and Kelly, Kate kept making cracks at her ex saying:

“It’s… you know. I do try to keep it as peaceful as possible. [It] depends on the day,” she explained.

“I basically wait for the phone call from how many of them want to come home.”

She added: “[His place] is not [their] home; it doesn’t feel like home to them… they want to be at home – in their house.”

Then again, they both should take the age old parenting advice (granted, usually told to children) and remember, two wrongs don’t make a right. He responded to both the media and Kate via his twitter account, saying:

As much as I want to respond to numerous LIES recently claimed on Regis and Kelly, I will refrain. I have learned from the past that it’s a waste of my time and energy. I am “rising above”, and refuse to engage in any sort of public argument that could potentially harm or upset my children. My children and the people in my life know the truth, and that is what’s important.

Ironically, while it can be hard not to say something by giving any attention to what was said he isn’t ‘rising above’. This really seems to be one of those things (especially among the public disputes) that there is no ‘winner’.

Yet, the couple’s eight kids are certainly at the losing end of all this.

After her husband (soon to be ex-husband’s) brought a lot of shame and humiliation unto the popular actress, Sandra Bullock has shocked the media by announcing her adorable three month old baby boy.  Now many outlets seem to be focusing on the signs that were there, Sandra announced baby Louis Bardo to People Magazine in an exclusive interview.

America’s favorite girl next door and soon to be ex husband had been going through the adoption process for a while, and Sandra Bullock is now planning on raising him alone as a single mom.  Sadly, the many other women who have come out claiming affairs are now also trying to steal her light.  Thankfully, Sandra has won over many more fans since the scandal broke due to her amazing grace in handling everything.

The super-cute Louis Bardo seems to be able to look forward to a very strong mom, which especially after all the other news had broken, is good news for the tyke.
