Nothing beats the image of a new baby and for pop star Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman, in showing to the world the fruit of their union, baby Max. Both are simply crazy over the new offspring and surely his entry into this world shall welcome the new stage of their lives that of which is parenting.

The journey towards making sure that baby Max would be born normally was not easy though. Aguilera and Bratman had scary moments especially when they had to agree to a Caesarean to avoid any complications as far as labor and giving birth is concerned.

But in the end, two proud parents showed off their love child for the world to see. And guess the two people who cannot keep their eyes of him…Christina and Jordan who else!

Despite his wife’s sensitivities over giving birth, Bratman had no such qualms.

Aguilera recalled: “Jordan wasn’t squeamish at all. He had the video camera ready to go.”

She added: “The most reassuring thing for me was hearing that first beautiful cry. I just welled up with tears.

“We can’t stop staring at him. We study him, he studies us back. It’s just an unbelievable experience, the whole journey. It’s just a beautiful time in our lives.”

The couple revealed in the interview that Max underwent a bris – a Hebrew baby naming and circumcision ceremony – because Bratman is Jewish.

We all remember the famous sitcom Doogie Howser M.D. While we all know that such a feat would be impossible for any child to accomplish, there is now a 10 year old child who was able to earn her degree. Yes you read it right; she is just 10 years old.

I myself was shocked at the age she was able to get her degree. Normally people would have to be in their late teens to get one. But the secret was accomplished through an online degree course that made Courtney Oliver, a certified Veterinarian assistant.

It does look like a weird situation but the secret to her success was really more on her thrive towards knowing what she really wanted. The only funny thing is that she needs a guardian to go to work since she is still a minor at 10!

I heard an odd conversation between two 4 yr old kids. Kid 1:My mommy and I will go the mall later because I got stars in my class kid2: I have more stars than you, and my mom said I’m very good so she’ll buy me an expensive toy. You think this kind of conversation is normal with kids? well yes it is, but do you think it’s healthy that our kids nowadays are motivated to do good because they have prizes? what if there were no prizes? do you think they will give their best foot forward?

It’s a big responsibility to motivate your child to study and giving an award is the most effective way to keep them going, BUT.. it’s not the only way. There is always a disadvantage if your kids are motivated with material things. It’s like a radio that won’t work if it’s not plugged in.Kids should be motivated in the right way and not just by receiving expensive things. Be creative in making them love studying.

1. prepare a beautiful study room where they will always look forward to go to. They can even invite their classmates to come over for study bonding time.

2. Set a time for studying. Kids easily get bored when they sit down for more than an hour. Trying meeting half way. They can study for 30 minutes and then have 10 minute break where they can eat snacks or maybe take a power nap. Don’t push her to the limits, because she’ll get bored and pressured at the same time.

3. Go to the library where she can see books for her age. Make her love reading and studying.

As a teacher, I make sure that my students know how how to show respect not just to their classmates but also to adults. It’s just sad to know that kids nowadays are fond of shouting at their parents and they get easily irritated if things weren’t done in their own way. Where do kids learn this bad attitude? Is it from the media? or they just simply see it in their family? Parents should set an example if they want their kids to grow up with full of respect. Even with simple conversation they can actually teach their kids to be respectful. Kids are kids, they easily adapt with their environment. What they see, hear, feel or touch is basically influenced by the society. So can parents protect them from this one? well, sorry to burst their bubbles, but my answer is a big N-O. It’s inevitable. But if parents will continue to promote love and respect in their homes, what do you think is the result? of course kids who are loving and respectful too. Parents should be consistent in promoting respect because kids follow what parents do. This is a fact!. kids idolize their parents and teachers, whatever they hear from them, expect that they will copy it. During my class, I heard my students mimicking their parents, and I can actually see how they were brought up. Parents you have a big role, it’s good to have fun with your kids but remain focus. Know that you set the standards.
